Getting Ready for Convention...

2007 Convention in Chicago - After three days in class, we hit the town of Chicago and had a great night out.

I am looking forward to attending my Second Annual convention with like-minded professionals. This years Convention will be held at The Wild Horse Resort in Arizona. Actually in the town of Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is my Maden name.

I am arriving early so I can take advantage of the wonderful amenities and (oh yeah!) a full body massage. I will be in class for three days it's the least I can do for myself, right? ;)

I will share all the latest and greatest in the design world when I return.

Cheers,

T

Budget Decorating...

If you are like most of Americans these days, you are cutting back on luxury items like I am. One thing I just love to have in the home is fresh flowers and that can become costly over time.

Look in the garden and see what you can cut and bring indoors instead of purchasing flowers at the store. I wish my peonies and lily's would bloom all year but they don't unfortunately. My rose bushes are not very mature and I hate to cut them off the vines and leaving the vines sparse. My geraniums in the pot I don't like to cut either. The wave petunias are plentiful as well as verbena. They last for awhile too when cut and placed in a vase. The hosta flowers will start to die off soon so I decided to cut them back and use them as well. They don't last as long as the petunia or verbena, but add a nice touch for a few days.

Even if you don't have a lush flower garden , there is always something you can cut that will look nice for your home and save you money if you are a fresh flower person like myself.

Still enjoying the summer and back to the beach this weekend, yeah!

Cheers,

T

We are having a very busy Summer so far and we are enjoying every minute of it. I hope your Summer is going great too.
I haven't been around to complete the kids rooms yet, but I promise to post pictures when I am finished.
Cheers!
